I love travel and helping businesses build better teams but I don't think there's anything I will ever love more than music. Music is such a first person experience. Music - for me - is the purest way to connect with the world around me.
My buddy Elvis and I went to a Tower of Power concert tonight and I can't describe in words how good it felt to hear that band and be in that arena again. Listening to TOP reminds me of special moments of my young adult-hood.
What I do is not easy. I guess what I'm trying to say is that sometimes... it's a good idea to recharge your batteries. Tower of Power live might just be my new battery charging gig...
You should think about what "charges your batteries" and make a point to do said thing on a regular basis.

Great blog! Great experience! There are many times when I say to myself, "eh, I'll catch it (TOP concert) the next time they come around." We can't be that way, I would have robbed myself of a recharging experience with a good friend, I encourage anyone reading to allow yourselves to go and reengage something you haven't done in a while; something you once loved to do. You may be surprised at how refreshing and new your experience may feel, instead of "catching it the next time."
